About us

Potrix Ceramix is owned by Patrick Hayward and together with V Hayward (Bottled Story Designs) we run the Clay Cave at Lopemede farm just outside Thame on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border. Here we run weekly workshops, experience days and beginner sessions. The Clay Cave studio has 4 wheels and 4 hand building spaces.

Patrick produces functional pottery mostly for the garden or table.

V produces functional pottery, mystical creatures and decorative bottles and containers.

All the pieces are made from white stoneware or porcelain and the majority of the glazes are made from scratch to our own researched recipes.

Other than making pottery and running the studio Patrick also tutors the regular Wednesday evening pottery session and teaches a 6 hour weekend wheel throwing course once a month at Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury .
